Injection-Based Follicle Support for Hair Thinning
At Springs Hair Restoration, we offer education and guidance on a variety of injection-based treatments that may help support hair thinning related to pattern hair loss, stress-related shedding (telogen effluvium), or other common causes—in both men and women.
These non-surgical hair restoration options are designed to support scalp and follicle health and may be a helpful alternative for those who aren’t ready for—or don’t need—traditional hair transplant surgery. Our team is here to help you understand your options and create a plan aimed at healthier-looking density and fuller-looking hair over time.
Non-surgical hair restoration treatments are often preferred for several reasons:
Non-surgical methods do not require incisions or stitches, meaning that the recovery time may be shorter compared to surgical procedures.
Since these treatments do not involve surgery, the potential risks of complications are reduced. This makes them an option that some patients find more comfortable to consider.
Many non-surgical treatments allow patients to return to their daily activities immediately, offering convenience without a lengthy recovery.
Non-surgical options may be more affordable compared to surgical transplants, making them accessible for a broader group of individuals.
Treatments such as topical solutions, supplements, and injections can be tailored to meet individual needs, allowing for a more personalized approach to hair health.
Hair thinning often occurs when follicles begin to weaken or enter prolonged resting phases. Injection-based treatments focus on supporting follicle health, encouraging renewal, and helping maintain density over time — especially in early stages of thinning. These approaches are minimally invasive and designed to work with your body’s natural processes.
Injection therapies deliver targeted support directly to areas of thinning. These treatments may help:
• Reduce shedding
• Support natural regrowth
• Enhance follicle function
• Improve scalp circulation
Options Dr. Zack Charkawi will assess your pattern of thinning and determine whether injection-based support may be appropriate—and which approach best aligns with your needs and stage of hair loss.
Regenera Activa is one of our newest additions and one of several minimally invasive options we may consider for early-stage thinning. Our injection-based treatments are designed to support follicle health in the early stages of hair loss and may also be used to complement hair transplant results when appropriate.
Regenera Activa uses your own micrografts to help support follicle activity and may:
• Support natural follicle renewal
• Encourage thicker, denser-looking hair
• Slow the progression of early-stage thinning
• Complement other non-surgical treatments

All treatments are performed by Dr. Zack Charkawi, a board-certified physician with more than 22 years of clinical experience and certification from the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS).
Our approach prioritizes safety, realistic expectations, and long-term scalp health.

Long Post Alert...but worth the read! - A few months ago, I decided to consider a hairline transplant in Atlanta. After doing some research, I became interested in the FUT process. I was still determining where to begin, so I initially went to what I had seen for years on TV, Bosley. The consultation was excellent, but I felt too many people between me and the surgeon performing the procedure. I wanted that direct interaction to ensure I got what I wanted in my design. I went to a second, Dr. P, but it wasn’t the right fit for me, then I was referred to Dr. Zack Charkawi. From the moment I sat down with him at his desk, I knew he was the one. As a healthcare provider, I am very particular who I choose for my own healthcare needs. I completed my 4th hair restoration procedure with Dr. Zach, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Dr. Zach's professionalism was evident at my initial consultation, where he spent time discussing the procedure, pertinent research, and most importantly the realist expectations; he did not "over sell" the procedure. He also is the only practitioner that I am aware of who uses a specific anesthesia technique that dramatically decreased the procedural discomfort. He was very thorough during the procedure, covering all of the necessary areas. I highly recommend him and his staff without reservations!
My husband had a fantastic experience with Dr.Zack! It took him a while to find the best doctor for hair transplant. He had many consultations before choosing his clinic. The polish and professionalism of Dr. Zack and his team is excellent! My husband was very happy with the results of the procedure. We could never have asked for a better experience! I will be highly recommending him to my friends!
Dr Charkawi was fantastic. He really made me feel at ease and went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with my hair. Also it’s a beautiful, clean office with a sister location for follow ups or further needs which is very helpful. Overall very satisfied customer.
